Summary:

Singapore’s ONE Pass now has more than 8,000 holders and stands as the country’s flagship visa for top global talent. Valid for five years and held by the individual, it stays with the professional through job changes and allows them to work with several companies at once. Applicants can qualify through a fixed monthly salary of S$30,000 from one employer, a confirmed Singapore job offer at the same pay, or outstanding achievement in sports, arts, culture or research. A new AI and Tech track arrives in January 2027, replacing Tech Pass with criteria built for senior tech leaders and founders. Read our full guide to learn about eligibility, documents, renewals and family options, and see how IMC can support your application.
More than 8,000 professionals now hold a ONE Pass, the flagship visa in Singapore for top global talent. Issued to the individual and valid for five years, it stays with its holder even when the employer changes. For ONE Pass Singapore, the key attraction is the freedom it offers, and a dedicated AI and Tech track opens in January 2027. The sections below explain how the pass works from application to renewal.

Who is eligible for the ONE Pass Singapore?

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Singapore assesses each application case by case, and the applicant has to meet every criterion within a single route. ONE Pass eligibility is evaluated on the basis of three routes.

  1. The first option is suitable for professionals drawing a fixed monthly salary of at least S$30,000 from an established company. In this scenario, the salary drawn in the last 12 months before applying is considered.
  2. The second route is suitable for candidates with a confirmed job in Singapore at the same pay, starting within six months.
  3. The third option covers outstanding achievement in sports, arts and culture, or academia and research.

For the salary-based route, the S$30,000 fixed monthly salary must come from one employer. Salaries from multiple employers cannot be combined to meet the threshold. The employer must also meet MOM’s established-company criteria.

The ONE Pass salary requirement S$30,000 applies to one employer. The full amount has to come from a single source in terms of payslips, and the pay credited by each employer is assessed on its own. Candidates can either apply themselves or rely on an employer or agent to apply for them.

How to apply?

Applicants can refer to the One Pass visa guide to know the process in depth.

  • First, the process involves checking eligibility, followed by a document pack.
  • Salaried applicants need to include a passport page, a photo, an updated resume, 12 months of payslips, and recent tax records.
  • Applicants who qualify for the visa based on their achievements need to replace payslips with their awards, publications or endorsement letters.
  • Research applicants need to add a letter of recommendation from a host institution in Singapore.
The Ministry of Manpower evaluates these visa applications within four weeks in most cases. Next, it issues an In-Principle Approval letter. Within six months, the applicant has to complete their insurance formalities and arrive in Singapore for the necessary steps. First, the digital pass is registered. Then the physical card is produced and handed over within five working days.

Renewal and compliance

The visa needs to be renewed every five years, and employees can initiate the renewal process six months before their expiry. The MOM looks at one of these two aspects:

  • The first is an average fixed monthly salary of at least S$30,000 over the previous five years in Singapore.
  • The second is a company in Singapore with five local employees.

Each employee must earn at least the minimum salary required for an Employment Pass. Visa holders also need to submit an annual update by 31st January and report any changes to their address or personal details within two weeks.

Maintaining the pass therefore involves more than meeting the initial salary threshold. Holders should keep employment, income and business records to support future renewal applications.

Renewal route Requirement
Salary-based renewal Average fixed monthly salary of at least S$30,000 over the preceding five years in Singapore
Business and employment-based renewal A Singapore-based company employing at least five local employees, each earning at least the prevailing Employment Pass qualifying salary

2027 update for ONE Pass

The new AI and Tech track opens in January 2027 and replaces Tech Pass. ONE Pass AI and Tech 2027 maintain the five-year validity while adding tech-specific criteria. Under these arrangements, applicants must be earning at least S$30,000 a month for 12 months. They also require five years of experience as a founder, C-suite leader, or senior technical professional within the past 10 years. The employer has to be a technology company of a specific size. A fixed salary of S$22,500, along with vested stock options, can help the individual clear the pay test, subject to the assessment of the MOM. The full details of the ONE Pass Singapore will be available closer to its launch.

The track retains the five-year ONE Pass validity while introducing technology-specific salary, experience and employer criteria.

Technology professionals planning to relocate to Singapore should review their salary records, equity compensation, employment history and employer credentials ahead of the launch.

Family and flexibility

Spouses and unmarried children under 21 may qualify for a Dependant’s Pass. Common-law spouses, stepchildren and parents may qualify for a Long-Term Visit Pass, depending on the relationship. A spouse on a Dependant’s Pass can apply for a Letter of Consent to work. Visa holders can also run several companies or work for multiple organizations at once, subject to their contracts. A full One Pass visa guide covers dependants as well as the holder.
